About Walworth County Updates
Walworth County Updates is an independent local information site that helps answer “Why are there sirens?” and “Why is the road blocked?” for Walworth County, Wisconsin. It is not affiliated with any fire department, police agency, dispatch center, or the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
Coverage is incomplete. Some calls are never broadcast, some radio traffic is encrypted, and feeds can go down. An empty list does not mean nothing is happening. The coverage line on the home page shows which sources are connected right now.
Where reports come from
From an official public source such as Wisconsin 511 traffic data.
From public Fire/EMS dispatch radio. A dispatch says what was reported to responders. It does not confirm what actually happened.
Posted by a member of the public. Not verified.
Entered by our staff. “Reviewed” means a person checked it, not that it was independently confirmed.
Each report shows when it was first reported and when it last had a meaningful update. “Status unknown” stays unknown until a source says otherwise. We never mark a call resolved or a road reopened just because nothing new was heard.

Corrections, privacy & removal requests
Use the Report link on any report, post or photo - it goes straight to our moderators. Privacy requests (for example, removing an address) are handled first. Corrections are shown on the report's timeline.
Photos are stripped of location and camera data before they are shown. Copies already viewed or downloaded by others cannot be recalled.
